Here’s a funny reminder about the importance of hygiene on outdoor expeditions from semi-rad.com. The advice is comical in delivery but very pertinent. It doesn’t take too long for a bout of gastro to whip through an expeditioning group. Protocols such as hand washing, dishwashing and proper toileting procedures are a necessary part of the learning. It is often one of the topics covered first up in a camping program due to its importance. I know there are a few differing techniques out there on how to manage a groups sanitation, i have often gone with the good old fashioned cat hole. While not a glamour subject for discussion i think i could improve my breadth of practices in this area, but how would one go about it?
